To commission a rendering, illustration or painting, the process is simple. The Client Portal helps streamline this process. Here are the steps:
1) Gather your project specifications

- Nondisclosure (if applicable)

2) Send specifications to the Studio
Send your request for a new assignment with project specifications to the studio via the links below. A standard mutual Non-Disclosure agreement form is available online or one can be provided by you.

- Cartoons Send an email here for purchase rights of cartoons shown in the Cartoon Portal. One-time use, first-time rights or full rights can be negotiated.
3) You receive work estimate & contract
The studio will contact you within 24 hours to give you an idea of schedule and timing. Contract negotiations can be made over the phone and electronically. You must sign the work estimate, NDA and provide any necessary deposit before work can begin. Electronic payments of deposit (paypal) and emailed receipt of forms are sufficient to begin work.
3) Send studio signed estimate & reference materials
Once the signed estimate and deposit (if requeired) are received, work will begin. Your emailed digitial photos of refereced objects are usually sufficient for studio renderings.
4) Download and preview preliminary sketches
Each assigment includes at least (3) Preliminary sketches. All Preliminary sketches are scanned electronically and uploaded to the Client Portal for design approval.
The Client Portal affords publishers, writers and designers to see the work progress immediatly. Preliminary drawings are provided in low-resolution format and can be used to aid in design placement.
4) Approve final image
A low resolution file will be available to review and accept on the Client Portal. Once final payment is made, the print ready copy will be provided on the site or sent to you.
5) Download and Receive Final Image
Pre-press ready finals can also be delivered digitally on the site, in addition to camera-ready originals if so desired. All finals will be password protected.
6) Futher Usage
All print-ready artwork will be catalogued at the Studio. For example, If you commission a pen & ink rendering of your home, you then can create stationary with the image.
All usage rights apply, as stated in the original documents; work orders, and signed estimates. Any further usage rights must be negotiated with the studio.
