The Illustrated PUG©

An all-ages picture book which pays tribute to the worlds oldest toy breed.

The pug is a noble lap dog of refined breeding. To own a pug in ancient China meant you had exceedingly good taste, immeasurable wealth, power and could afford the heavenly luxury of warm toes on a cold winters night.
One of the world's first toy breeds, pugs have sustained their comical faces and tails through the centuries.

In modern times, they are wildly popular, like rock stars.

The Illustrated PUG tracks the pugs history through the ages and gives readers a glimpse into life with a pug; the shedding, snoring, wheezing and loving.

Who's your Sugar Daddy?©

(How to Stay In a Job You Hate)

A dark and glaring look into the life of the corporate employee who hates their job (but loves the benefits).

Imagine 180-watt florescent lights illuminating a 20,000 square foot maze of mauve four feet high cubicles. Hear the steady din of speaker phone battles with ex-wives, lawyers and clients. Feel the menacing glances of coworkers seething with envy over the extra two square feet of cubicle you possess. Now picture your boss and your bosses boss with no chin, distended belly and halitosis keeping a steady watch as you focus on your set of mind-numbingly boring tasks. All the while, the world winks at you through 2 by 8 foot windows, beckoning you to taste the freedom which seems impossibly far away. Welcome to the job from Hell. Now imagine spending the next 25 to 40 years here.
What happens when you allow your wretched day job to become your sugar daddy?
Why choose a job that causes extreme dissatisfaction, boredom and a total sense of lost potential?

Why wait until retirement to enjoy life? Why the compromise and it is worth it?

Who's your sugar daddy?- answers these questions with humorous illustrations.

It is a story about what eventually happens when you allow your day job to become your sugar daddy. The longer you work, the more money you spend, the more you need your day job.

Ultimately, this plan usually backfires because of the wrong motivations.

Billy And The Golden Butterfly©
An original adaptation of the short story by A. Obrien, Billy and The Golden Butterfly is a story of a little boy who finds himself adrift in a wild ocean only to be rescued by two evil pirates. The story describes how he becomes a proud sea captain of his own glorious ship.
An orphan sent upon a mighty ocean liner, Billy finds himself alone. Amused by a shiny fish in the water far below, he moves too close to the edge. And at that very moment a great wave washes over the deck and takes little Billy out to sea.

When he is sure that life is but a memory, along comes an old captain in a midnight dingy offering to take him on board.

When Billy wakes he finds himself in the bowels of a foul ship, held captive by two novice pirates.

The two pirates plan their first heist of a 300 foot Russian tanker headed to "the Horn". They train their little captive to help them execute the job. They teach him the bowline, the fisherman's cleat, the anchorline and Mexican twist. He learns to read the wind and the waves and the weather and the stars. He works the halyards and sheets and bosuns chair.

When the tanker comes into view little Billy takes the helm. With a slight breeze under the midnight sky the two pirates silently take the Russian ship with little Billy left to man the Golden Butterfly.

Many of the drawings are done waterside with an honest narrative allegory from the artist and gives a powerful glimpse into the inner workings of the mind of an artist during an act of creation. Other drawings are commenced on located and completed while in the subway. The entire project is a unique search for the truth by means of expression in the visual and linguistic forms.
The text in these works are very small. Each piece measures 4 by 6 inches and includes, in some cases up to 2500 words. The project evolved naturally out of a desire to be able to write very private thoughts without censor in public spaces, when surrounded by other people. The overall effect is a impressive. The detail in the drawings bridges on being hyper-detailed, and witness the workings of the mind during the creation.
An excerpt: "Terror threats outstanding, there may be a transit strike at any time and I am in the Subway. First car of the 3 train heading to work an hour late. Christmas packages at foot. Lights of the subway flicker off and on as we tumble along underground. I stood waiting for the train watching two quick rats race over the tracks careful not to fall into the black lake of soot, water and clay below them. A man in a fleecy white beard wearing army boots and boxer shorts waited patiently beside me. Was he the naked Santa? Had he been booted out of his house? Where were his socks?
